Is the tip of the nose more sensitive to impact after rhinoplasty?

Hello! I (28F) had rhinoplasty 9 years ago and recently started training martial arts more often (Muay Thai and Jiu-Jitsu). During my rhinoplasty procedure, the dorsal hump was shaved down and the tip of my nose was raised. Even though it's been so long ago, I still remember how flexible the tip of my nose used to be. Now, I can barely bend it. I am now wondering: does this mean that the tip of my nose is more sensitive to impact compared to a pre-surgery nose? Or will the risk of breaking be the same as someone that hasn't undergone rhinoplasty? Thanks a lot in advance!

Hello and thank you for your question. It really depends on the specific techniques that were used by your surgeon during your surgery. With structural rhinoplasty, the nose should be back to nearly its full strength with time. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
