Is this snoopy deformity? I'm a year post-op (Photo)

Thank you for sharing your question and photograph. Difficult without before photographs to comment but if you were borderline for a lift at the time of your implant placement then yes this is a waterfall deformity and will require a lift to correct. If your nipple was well-placed and high on your chest then the implant did not fully settle and you will need a revision done on the implant capsule to seek improvement. Hope this helps.

No two breasts are the same with that there are several things can possibly be going on here, Of course without a proper physical examination it is difficult to assess and give you accurate advice. It can be that your implant is sitting higher, or that there is a slight degree of capsular contracture or your natural breast tissue is falling over time and a lift/reshaping maybe indicated. You should seek in person consultation with your plastic surgeon.

Yes this looks like a snoopy or water fall deformity, many times these terms are used interchangeably. This is where the breast implant is sitting high on the chest and the breast tissue slides off into the lower pole giving this appearance. The solution to this type of out come can be as simple as an implant repositioning or a little more involved with a lift and an implant repositioning at the same time. With a complete set of photos or a physical examination we would be able to tell you how best to address the change in appearance.

It appears that your nipple is sitting relatively low on the breast mound. The cause of this and treatment options cannot be determined without more photos, including preoperative views. You should also discuss your concerns with your surgeon.

A single view of one breast without perspective of the rest of your chest gives little info other than a nipple areolar complex low on the mound. If you want to know the reason you'll need better photos or perhaps an in person examination.

Hi and thanks for your question. Based on your photos, your implant is higher than your breast tissue and it causes waterfall deformity. You need breast lifting and revision of your implant places. The total surgery takes 3 hours and you should stay one night at hospital. After the surgery you should use sport bra and breast band. Sport bra supports your breast from down side and breast band supports your breast from upside, so breast tissue and implant can move together.

Yes this has various names- waterfall, snoopy, etc., but basically the implant never dropped and fluffed properly, and can be lowered with a capsulotomy!

I appreciate your concerns and physical examination would be needed, but it appears that your implant may be stuck in a higher than ideal position. A minor revision may be needed and I recommend that you follow up with your board certified plastic surgeon to explore of the best options for you. Good luck.

A waterfall or snoopy deformity is when the breast tissue droops over the front of the implant. From the limited photo it does appear this may be occurring. I encourage you to return to your surgeon for an evaluation and to learn more about options.
