Skinny BBLs! I'm really interested in a BBL but my BMI is 19. (Photo)

Question

It seems some school of thought is you need to gain weight for BBLs but aren't the number of fat cells the same and wouldn't a small change to a skinny person be significant? I'm 5'4" weigh 112lbs. Curious if there are doctors in Virginia who are optimistic about a skinny BBL? Had a tummy tuck 2 years ago with lipo, I'm afraid I wasted a bunch of fat too.

There are a lot of women who can get nice results from the BBL despite thinking that there is not enough fat. Maximal fat must be harvested without creating any contour deformities. If the waist was smaller at one time, the waist can likely be reduced with liposuction to those same measurements or smaller provided the muscular and facial integrity has remained the same.
Fat can be harvested from the abdomen, flanks, thighs, arms, back, etc. and transferred to the hips and buttocks. How flat the abdomen will be will depend upon how much fat is removed from the area as well as how you heal. Review before and after photos on various PS's websites to see who produces the results you are seeking. Then consult via email, Skype, or in-office with a board certified PS who is an expert in lipo and BBL.

Candidates for the Brazilian butt lift will be evaluated to confirm they are able to undergo this surgery. The first step is to measure and make sure there is adequate fat in certain areas for the removal, grafting, and transfer process. based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a BBL. Liposuction of your abdomen, back and flanks should give you more curves and hourglass shape and fat transfer to buttocks should give you more projection. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Based on your pictures, you are a great candidate for liposuction with BBL, and I think you'll get very good results. 
Liposuction allows your plastic surgeon to transform your entire shape. You can improve your abdomen, back and flanks, and of course your buttock, to give you a nice heart shape.
In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, be a non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 33 or less.
l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know.

Your weight will not prevent you from getting amazing BBL results. Based on your pictures, you are an excellent candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). I do not encourage people to gain weight for the BBL.

It’s better to except a potentially limited result this more subtle or consider Liposuction more areas.

Based on your pictures Liposuction of your backside would look great and be a significant source of fat.

When judging before and after pictures always make sure after pictures are taken at least three months from the date of surgery. Early postoperative pictures are not at all representative of final results.

Providers are not doing anyone a favor by showing two week results from fat transfer.

This is when patients are still swollen and none of the fat has reabsorbed yet.

I suggest having multiple in person consultations to try to find the most qualified provider in your area. Look for providers who have a proven track record and evidence of having done this procedure numerous times.

That means that during the consultation they should easily be able to show you 20 to 50 sets of before and after pictures. Reviews among various physician review websites should not have consistent justified negative reviews.

I think you’ll be fine with this procedure. You and your surgeon will need to decide how many areas need to be treated to harvest sufficient fed to get results that are ideal based on your wishes and anatomy.
