I want to get Lipo and a bbl. I have multiple sclerosis. My symptoms are mild. Only had numbness and tingling sensation so far. I am on a DMD. Would I have to stop taking the DMD before surgery?

Some patients with more advanced disease may need clearance from a neurologist or may not be candidates for surgery. In most patients with MS, surgery with general anesthesia is well tolerated.

you will need to get a clearance from your neurologist prior to surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Thanks for the question and provided information as well. 
In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, be a non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 33 or less.
Please talk to your primary doctor to get clearance for plastic surgery and then I suggest you book a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss the best options for your goals.

Without pictures we can’t assess if you’re a candidate for a BBL.

If your neurologist clears you and your symptoms are mild at the most plastic surgeons will be comfortable doing the procedure.

I don’t know what medication DMD is.
