Had my BBL/Lipo on 5/2/2019. Developed skin necrosis and was told to stop wearing my faja. Thoughts? (photos)

Question

I received a BBL/Lipo on 5/2/2019. I’ve now developed patches of skin necrosis on my abdomen. My surgeon said to stop wearing my garment and to limit compression until healed. I’m now extremely swollen and I’m concerned about my results. Should I continue to not wear the faja while the necrosis is present? Do the pictures appear to be healing properly? Also, should I get lymphatic massages while having the skin necrosis wounds or wait until it’s healed?

my thoughts are you should listen to your doctor and follow his recommendations.  Continue following up with your provider. He will take care of this for you. You will most likely need surgical intervention to remove the dead skin followed by one care for a few months.  Best, Mats Hagstrom,MD
