Bad BBL job 3 years later. How can I fix this? (Photo)

Thank you for your pictures and questions. I think that from the photos you have a reasonable result (without being able to see "before" photos). The "issues" that you have deal with contour deformity and this is the most common problem after a liposuction procedure. These can be difficult to fix and usually require revision liposuction and/or fat grafting. In your case, I would say the margin of success of a revision procedure to make a significant improvement is very slim. The enemy of good is perfect.Hope this helps!Dallas R. it is hard to tell for sure without an examination, but based on your photos, you will most likely need a BBL revision surgery in order to achieve better results. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

I will tell you that a surgery can be executed perfectly, and healing can be less than perfect due to any number of factors.  I am not sure how fair it would be to comment without preoperative photos.  There are some individuals who have adherent bands to the underlying fascia, which create the appearance present on your abdomen. Lipo and fat grafting would be reasonable solutions to your concerns.Kenneth Hughes, MD, ABPS Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

Fat grafts sometimes end with creation of cyst like scars-lumps that are visible and deforming. You will need a liposuction contouring, possibly additional fat grafting to correct that deformity. Small liposuction on the back would correct that asymmetry. Liposuction to release deep scar, possibly fat grafting would correct abdominal dimple. In person evaluation is recommended. Good luck.

Based on your pictures, you are a good candidate for a BBL revision to improve your buttocks, and I think you'll get very good results. In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, be a non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 30 or less.

 Are you listed multiple things. It's going to be difficult for anyone to give you an accurate assessment based on your post.  It's important to differentiate what the actual problem is. For example on your back that area is often related to skin laxity. You're not standing in a straight position with your arms in the same spot. This by itself will give a symmetry.  During an examination  i'm able to lift and put on the skin differentiating what's a skin and what's underlying fat. It's not possible to do this when responding on real self. Likewise, without seeing your before pictures it's difficult to give you an assessment in regards to the area above your bellybutton.  You may benefit from a revision. To determine how successful this could be or what type of intervention would be best you really need an examination.  Your first choice should be following up with your provider who did the BBL. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
