I only have beta thalassemia trait, my hemoglobin normally is around 11, but has been 12 before. Can I have a TT, LIPO, and BBL?

A hematologist should be involved in this process to ensure that status is optimized.  I have operated on several people with carrier status without incident.  However, each patient needs to be evaluated thoroughly before a decision is made as reserve status will be different.  You might want to stage the procedures: lipo and BBL first; TT, 6 months later.

as long as you get a clearance from your hematologist, you might be a candidate for a surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

I think your hematologist is correct. Continue consulting until you find a plastic surgeon that's willing to work with you.  I will tell you that the combined procedure of tummy tuck and  BBL has a few inherent issues.  Most providers want their patients to not sleep on their back after a BBL.  if that is grafted in the outer buttocks or in the hip tip area then sleeping on the side is probably the worst.  It's not possible to sleep on your abdomen after a tummy tuck.  Read up on the recovery of a tummy tuck. The recovery is brutal.  Probably the most painful recovery of any surgical procedure.  To add a BBL on top of this is asking people to experience quite a bit.  Personally I would not recommend doing these two procedures together.  Combined procedures especially those lasting longer than six hours have you substantially increased risk and complications including serious complications.  Personally I would do these as two separate procedures.  There's a long list of pros and cons for doing these as combined procedures as well as separate procedures and if so one procedure before the other.  Different doctors will have different opinions.  Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
