I had a breast reduction 3 yrs ago I was a 34 DD and went to a C cup. I had a revision a year later bc the first time the dr only did the lollipop method which didn’t work out so well. The revision was with the anchor by a different surgeon. Now after having 2 children an 8 pounds heavier at 128 I went up to a 36 D. Am I able to have a third surgery at this point. I have not gone for a consultation yet. Thanks
Answer: Repeat reduction The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reduce and reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. The weight of the breast is transferred to the underlying pectoralis major muscle resulting in pain relief and the long term stability. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained, if not injured during your previous surgery.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: 3rd Breast Reduction? It may be possible to have another breast reduction, however try to lose the extra pounds first, you may not need one. Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to learn what options are available to you. Good luck.

Answer: Breast reduction with liposuction It would be in your best interest to get to your normal weight, if possible, before considering additional reduction. In your case, reduction of breast tissue can be achieved with liposuction, followed with lift; most likely skin tightening without or with minimal lift of nipple/areola is all what needs to be done to achieve tight, perky, smaller breasts. You already have scars. In person consultation is recommended. Good luck.

Answer: After 2 breast reductions will I require a third to reduce the size of my breasts? The breasts can be reduced again, and this is not that uncommon. Wait at least a year after the previous reduction to re-evaluate whether a revision is necessary. You may be able to lose the weight you gained after the pregnancy and will not require a 3rd breast reduction.Nipple-areolar necrosis (the death of part or all of the nipple-areolar complex (NAC)) is the complication which can create the most difficult issues for reconstruction. The most common issues after breast reduction involve wound healing issues such as wound separation or scar widening. Be sure to work with a board certified PS to obtain the best treatment plan and follow up.

Answer: Revision breast reduction It depends upon what you mean by the surgery not working out so well. Was the breast reduction performed for a functional purpose (to relieve back/shoulder discomfort) or was it strictly cosmetic? The approaches are often different depending upon the reason for surgery, and the expectations should be different as well. It sounds like it's best to be seen for another consultation, at which time it would be very important to make sure both you and your surgeon understand your goals and have a clear understanding of exactly what's possible and what the expectations should be. Best of luck.
