My breast were a 38J, very saggy long breast. I am now a 38D. The surgery was performed close to three months. I have dog Ears on the side of both breast, but one side more unsightly. The surgeon went back to remove some fatty tissue, during my reduction, but I still ended up with them.

Answer: Dog ears Dear Caring5209, You are still in early postoperative period and there is a chance that your dog ears will improve with time. Generally speaking, you can expect a bit longer scar if you require surgical excision. If you have any questions, I suggest you to consult your plastic surgeon. Answer: Dog Ears Generally speaking, revisional surgery should be delayed until adequately healed and stabilized. This point (while different for everyone) is typically reached by 6 months post op. With regards to your specific question, all dog ear excisions require scar extension posteriorly. How far back they extend is dependent upon the size of the dog ear. They can also be reduced via liposuction in conjunction with a more limited excision.Ultimately, I would allow for 6 months of healing (an additional 3 in your case) before considering further revision. As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).
