My breast were a 38J, very saggy long breast. I am now a 38D. The surgery was performed close to three months. I have dog Ears on the side of both breast, but one side more unsightly. The surgeon went back to remove some fatty tissue, during my reduction, but I still ended up with them.

Answer: To correct the dog ears, does it require more cutting , extending my scar further? Given that you are only three months out of surgery, I would not be surprised if the appearance of the "dog ears" improve over the course of the next several months (even up to one year and beyond). Generally, if in the longer term, there is redundant skin/tissue at the end of incision lines present (AKA dog ears) additional skin excision may be necessary to improve contour in the area. This usually results in some extension of the scar . I hope this helps.

Answer: Dog ears Dear Caring5209, You are still in early postoperative period and there is a chance that your dog ears will improve with time. Generally speaking, you can expect a bit longer scar if you require surgical excision. If you have any questions, I suggest you to consult your plastic surgeon.
