Cheeks are very specific to each person. They are easily obtainable with fillers by someone who understands male aesthetics. I suggest seeing a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon with experience. Best, Dr. Emer.
I would need to see photographs to determine if you need more cheek projection. Assuming you do this can be achieved with fillers or permanent results can be achieved with cheek implants. See a very experienced surgeon who has natural looking results.
Without a photo, I can only make some general comments. An aesthetic physician with experience and expertise in nonsurgically contouring male faces with volumizing fillers is essential in order to achieve gratifying results. And respecting the significant differences in facial structure between men and women is the essential ingredient for success. While women ideally have high, prominent cheek volume directly over the cheekbones, men typically require more volume in the upper inner portion of the cheeks. Women ideally have a more inverted triangular face, men a more rectangular one; and men have more jutting chins and well-defined and more prominent angles of the jaws. Taken together these characteristics make for a more masculine look. Be sure to ask to see the befores and afters of any physician you consult with.
High more defined cheekbones are possible if one has the right type of face for it. You would have to submit pictures of your face to get answer as to what may be possible for you.
Cheek implants are placed for patients who have a flat maxilla and flat cheek profile. Cheek implants are manufactured in a variety of sizes and shapes, are composed of Silastic, and are inserted through intr-oral approach under a brief general anesthetic as an outpatient surgical procedure. Hi, in general terms a man's face looks ruggedly handsome when angularity exists in the cheeks, jaw line and chin. When this is lacking facial implants, either cheek implants or a chin implant can augment and enhance the shape. I have performed many of these over the years. However not all patients cheeks can or should be augmented with cheek implants. Photos of your face would help in the evaluation (non-smiling front and side). You can e-mail these if you do not wish to post your photos publicly. For jaw line augmentation, implants are problematic so I recommend using a dermal filler at the mandibular angle (I prefer Radiesse). Hope this helps.
Cheek contour, volume, and definition can all be improved with the placement of cheek implants, the injection of the patient's fat, or the injection of fillers such as Radiesse or Voluma. Consult with a surgeon who uses all techniques because there are advantages and disadvantages of each alternative.
Depending on what exactly you want to enhance or soften about your jaw-line there are a variety of options. One strategy to narrow the width (roundness) of the jaw is to use Botox in the masseter muscles to decrease their contribution to your jaw width. The masseter muscles are chewing...
Facial asymmetry is actually the rule and not the exception with the majority of my patients. Even the most attractive models and movie stars have facial asymmetries. This is natural. In looking at your face I see the normal variation in facial symmetry but not prominent enough for any sort of...
For a more defined jawline to strengthen your profile (and help prevent the dreaded jawline "jowl" sagging), we use injectable fillers like Revanesse Versa - a filler known to limit swelling and give subtle, soft enhancements - or Radiesse. Using a cannula to limit pain and swelling, we inject...
