I am having a breast lift in October. In my consultation, I told my surgeon that I am scared of nipple numbness and he said that it is possible with a breast lift, but he didn’t clarify how common it is. At the time of the consultation I didn’t know that you could also lose the ability to react to temperature. I don’t know if the right word is nipple erection or how you would explain that. I have researched and seen people say that the likelihood of losing sensation forever is low but then I’ve turned around and found it said that only 10% of women get their feeling back And of course that’s a big difference. I know that you can’t give me an exact answer on whether or not my body will regain sensation, but my question is how common is it really to lose it all? I do not want flat nipples forever. How common is it to lose all sensation and ability to get nipple erections? I also am getting implants taken out during this and none put back.

Answer: Total loss of sensation and nipple erection is rare.
In a case with multiple surgeries, the safe operation time is 6 hours. What I recommend is doing the breast lift using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase...
I certainly think it is possible to achieve a B Cup with a breast lift alone. I do not perform breast lifts and augmentations at the same time. I would recommend lifting first, then heal. See if you desire more volume and if so, you can place an implant at a later time.
For the majority of persons, the best results from a breast lift and/or mastopexy come from a inverted T scar pattern, not an L, J, or lollypop. US surgeons at the top of their game know this, and they also know how to make scars fine, essentially irrelevant.
