My surgeon recommended a tummy tuck combo. I plan on still losing 15-20 lbs to be at my ideal weight so I am not interested in getting multiple surgeries at once. I’m interested in J-plasma to tighten my skin. Just need recommendations if it would work on me or will I need to get a tummy tuck.
Answer: Tummy tuck A tummy tuck is the procedure you need. It will remove all of the extra skin from the abdomen as well as tighten the muscles under the skin.I hope this helps.

Answer: Full Tummy Tuck After reviewing your photo, I would recommend a Full tummy tuck combined with liposuction. A full tummy tuck corrects the aftermath of pregnancy:1. The separation of the abdominal muscles (diastasis recti) is repaired to reduce the bulge2. The loose skin is tightened3. Fat deposits can be reduced with liposuctionLiposuction alone would not correct the bulge due to the muscle separation or the loose skin and would, in all likelihood, lead to a disappointing result for you. Generally, a tummy tuck is recommended for women after having their last child. I recommend surgery 6 months after your last baby. The combination of tummy tuck and buttock augmentation has the advantage of a one stage procedure and makes use of fat which would normally be discarded. The problem is that during the recovery period for the tummy tuck you are not able to keep your weight off of your buttocks. Pressure on the fat grafts results in less of it lasting. For this reason, I generally advise doing it in 2 steps if possible. I will do both of the procedures in one stage if a small buttock augmentation is required, but I do let my patients know that they may need a second procedure if additional fat is required.I would recommend a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. Best regards, Andrew Lyos MD, FACS

Answer: Do you recommend J-Plasma or tummy tuck? Thank you for the question and pictures. Based on your history and photographs, it is very clear that you should undergo a full tummy tuck procedure in order to achieve the best outcome possible. I would strongly recommend that you do not undergo a "less invasive" procedure; you will very likely be disappointed with the outcome of any procedure other than tummy tuck surgery. Best to seek in-person consultation with well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons who can demonstrate lots of experience helping patients with tummy tuck surgery. Your plastic surgeon consultants will likely be able to show you similar patients (before and after photographs) and help you decide whether or not to proceed. Best wishes with your decision-making, and for an outcome that you will be very pleased with.

Answer: Tummy tuck Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you are a great candidate for a tummy tuck with liposuction. This can be done through a low and short incision, all completely below the bikini line. The belly button can be designed to look natural and have no scars on the exterior. Your muscles can also be plicated resulting in a flat abdomen. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. FACS Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: Tummy tuck candidate Dear Magic_doll_magic,based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
