I had a septorhinoplasty with IT reduction a year ago. I started to notice that the right side is caving in a bit while inhaling hardly. On the lateral wall. Does it look like nasal valve collapse? Thanks In advance:)
Answer: Rhinoplasty Hi, It is better for you to consult with your facial plastic surgeon who can examine you and give you opinion based on examination.

Answer: Rhinoplasty needed The bone and cartilage of the nose appear to be concave in the region of your concerned nasal collapse. You may be better off with a rhinoplasty to correct the concavity. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Permanent non-surgical nose job for a straighter nasal appearance. Based on your photos and your markings, we can see an indentation along the right side wall of your nose. This area is certainly in the area of the internal and top of the external nasal valve on the right. If you are breathing okay on the right side, I wouldn't worry about it. If you are concerned about the aesthetic appearance of your nose, depending on your examination, microdroplet Silikon-1000 injections may be considered for permanently adding volume to the right side wall indentation so you might achieve a permanently straighter nasal appearance. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello and thank you for your question. If you are also experiencing breathing problems, then placement of spreader may help all of your issues. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: Dr Paweł Szychta Your symptoms could indicate nasal valve collapse, especially if the lateral wall caves in during inhalation. This can happen post-septorhinoplasty if cartilage support was weakened or over-resected. Consult a rhinoplasty specialist or ENT for evaluation. Temporary measures like nasal strips can help, but surgical revision (e.g., grafts) may be needed for a permanent fix.
