After weight loss (50lbs), I'd like to do a fat transfer to my lower breasts and cleavage, with a modest breast lift, to create a nice tear-drop shape and restore the original height of my breasts to where they were prior to weight gain. I'd like to either keep my cup size the same or go up by about half a cup size to one cup size, depending on how much volume I lose when I reach my desired weight. After pregnancy and breast feeding, would I lose these results?
Answer: Breast surgery always better AFTER weight or pregnancy changes Weight fluctuations and breast feeding will alter the shape of the breast. It's always better to be at a stable weight before proceeding with breast surgery. This includes fat transfer, breast reduction and breast lift surgery. The fat is not likely to be lost with pregnancy, in fact it may get more full if there is weight gain. That can stretch the skin, and may lead to more droopiness.

Answer: If I choose to undergo a fat transfer to the breasts, and then get pregnant, will the results remain after breastfeeding? I am not sure that anyone can give you a definitive answer for this. You might want to wait until after breastfeeding as pregnancy changes your anatomy in numerous ways.

Answer: Bellesoma Method Breastfeeding does not effect the fat to the breasts. In terms of a lift, I would recommend The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breasts You may loose some of your volume after pregnancy and breast feeding, especially with the actual breast tissue. Implants give a more stable volume.

Answer: Fat transfer with breast lift Hi Elizabeth. If your goal is to increase you cup size by about a cup size or so, fat transfer can be an excellent choice for you. With fat transfer, we can enhance you breast shape where we want; the top, the cleavage, any specific area. Implants are less specific in the area we enhance. Though not all of the fat will survive, experience has shown that much if not most of the fat will survive. When combined with a breast lift, the results are often gratifying. As to pregnancy, your breasts will change for certain. Following pregnancy and even breast feeding, the results can be long lasting, But there is always uncertainty. So much depends on weight and fat distribution. Make sure that you speak to a board certified plastic surgeon who has experience with fat transfer to the breast.
