Hi! So at the current moment I am looking for a solutions for my droopy nose! And I heard about the non-surgical rhinoplasty, which gives you a similar result of a real rhinoplasty. I'm considering getting the non surgical nose job now as a temporary fix. But I really want to get a surgical nose job in the future when I have the money for it! My question is, can you get a non surgical nose job and then later on get a surgical one? Because I have heard mixed reviews on whether you can or can't!
Answer: Nonsurgical rhinoplasty Nonsurgical rhinoplasty can improve a limited number of conditions in the nose mostly by masking effect, and does not really substitute the variety of issues that can be addressed with surgical treatments. Due to such maskings it is best to wait till the material has completely resorbed (application of hyaluranidase can fasten the process) before a through assessment of the nose can be performed with the goal of surgical treatment.

Answer: Surgical Rhinoplasty after Nasal Fillers Yes, it is common to have a surgical rhinoplasty after having nonsurgical injections in the nasal area. Hyalronic acid fillers will last approximately 9-12 months and will give you an approximation of a result from a rhinoplasty. Fillers are a good temporary procedure for a patient to get an idea of what a rhinoplasty could provide until they are ready for the surgical procedure. Be sure to see a board certified plastic surgeon or facial plastic surgery who has experience and expertise in rhinoplasty for a surgical procedure as well as an expert injector for fillers.

Answer: Surgical Rhinoplasty vs. Liquid Rhinoplasty Thank you for sharing your question. Yes, you can have a surgical rhinoplasty after having a liquid rhinoplasty. Usually, a “liquid rhinoplasty” is achieved by injecting filler into the desired areas to create the illusion of your ideal nose. Most fillers are hyaluronic acid fillers, which can be dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase. As a plastic surgeon who also preforms office-based injectable procedures, I recommend using a hyaluronic acid filler for the nose if you are considering surgery down the road. This way, the filler can be dissolved prior to surgery without any problems. I recommend scheduling a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon who is also experienced with both liquid rhinoplasty procedures and surgical rhinoplasties. Best of luck, Dr. Kian.

Answer: Rhino after non-surgical rhino Thank you for the great question. In short, yes, you can pursue a surgical correction of the nose after a non-surgical rhino (filler injection). However, the timing is important. Depending on which filler was used, you may need to wait a few months for this to slowly dissolve. It is tempting to inject enzyme to make the filler go away more quickly, but this can also affect (in higher doses) the cartilage of the nose. Best of luck!
