Scalp Micropigmentation Aftercare: Is it The Same as Regular Tattoos?

SMP, or scalp micropigmentation, is a painless procedure that uses highly specialized equipment and unique techniques to carefully and expertly inject all-natural, color-tailored pigments into the scalp creating a completely natural look of the patient’s hairline. A typical procedure involves an initial consultation and two pigmentation sessions to achieve the desired results. 
You can wash your head the fourth day after the treatment and, during that time, avoid any strenuous activity that will prompt undesired sweating. Once the procedure is complete, the results of a Scalp Micropigmentation treatment can last up to five years.

Every doctor has a different post-care regimen. It is always a good idea to ask your doctor. In general SMP aftercare is the same as a tattoo.  In my opinion the tattoo aftercare is more extensive.A bad Scalp Micro Pigmentation SMP can make you look like Lego Man or helmet head. Scalp Micro Pigmentation is a combination of art work and technical skill. Not everybody doing SMP can pull off a realistic look.

Micropigmentation aftercare is similar to tatoo care.Showering is acceptable soon after.  Most specialists do not reccomend washing the scalp for three daysPlease use this information when consulting in person with an experienced certified micropigmentation specialist.
