I’m interested in getting rhinoplasty using rib cartilage and lipo (Abdomen & thighs) with fat transfer to breasts. The procedures would be with 2 different doctors. I would like to get them done a day apart as I do not live in the area and only have a week off. Is this possible? I know for rib cartilage they need to make an incision under my breast and for the fat transfer, they need to do that as well. If this is possible, which surgery should I get first? Thank you!
Answer: Combination of procedures Dear cedar river, I understand your concern. It is best however that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine whether you can have several aesthetic surgeries in one session, as this would depend on various factors including but not limited to your general health condition, the type of anesthesia that will be used, and the type of surgeries that will be performed among others. Answer: Multiple procedures You have a very ambitious plan that will require a lots of planning! It would be the best if you could do all of these surgeries in one surgery, with one surgeon. There are practices and surgeons that posses this kind of experience that you need and can deliver expected result in one surgery. Doing that in 2 surgeries is not a bad option at all; do liposurction and fat transfer first. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Answer: Rib rhino and lipo with breast fat transfer? Hello @Alwaysresearching, thank you for your question. I suggest you ask the specialists that will perform surgery because surgical technique varies from doctor to doctor. When my patients come to me for different procedures that cannot be performed in the same period of time, depending on the case, it can take anywhere from 1 month to 3 months for another surgery to be performed. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. Answer: Surgery You should do not two surgeries in two days for your body will need time to heal and will increase your risk of infection. You could consider doing both surgeries the same day if your surgeons agree. Otherwise, you will need to wait at least two weeks if you do the liposuction first, or 6 weeks if you do the rhinoplasty first. Ideally, you should have the surgery with a physician in your area for best follow up care.

Answer: Rib Cartlidge grafting and breast-fat transfer I think we need to discuss this with both surgeons and then have at the two doctors review what you have planned. It may not be appropriate to do with Liposuction or fat transfer immediately after the repair club harvesting rib Cartilage. Delivering consistent quality Liposuction and fat transfer results is more difficult than most people believe it. I cannot emphasize enough importance of choosing surgeons correctly and venting plastic surgeons I have a multiple in person consultations well in advance of scheduling surgery. I cannot emphasize enough importance of choosing surgeons correctly and venting plastic surgeons I have a multiple in person consultations well in advance of scheduling surgery. I generally do not recommend people travel long distances for elective surgical procedures but do you understand that sometimes they’re simply isn’t local talent and travel is necessary. If traveling for elective surgical procedures try to keep the distances short enough that you can have in person consultations and in person follow up visits. Multiple procedures should always be discussed with surgeons well in advance of having a procedure. Surgeons do not like surprises. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
