Does constant pinching, pulling and rubbing nose distort the nose to make it look bigger? (Photos)

Question

I've made it a habit to pinch and pull my nose for the past couple of months and I feel like it has altered the original shape to make it wider and longer. Could a professional suggest if this is a distortion I have made by myself or if it's just natural growth and what I can do to fix this?

Your nose is not going to change in size or shape with manipulation - rubbing, pulling etc is not going to make a difference. It sounds like you are unhappy with your nose, an consultation with a plastic surgeon would be a helpful thing to do !

Difficult to tell. But if you have concern about the shape you can consult with your local plastic surgeon for corrective options.

Great question.  I don't think significant change can be accomplished by habitually manipulating your nose.  Small changes such as skin creases can perhaps be augmented by constantly folding the skin at a point.  Other than that, an increase in the thickness of the bone, cartilage, or skin cannot be significantly impacted by manual manipulation.All the best,Dr. Remus Repta
