Hi! I am 5'5" - 120lbs - old bra size was a 32A -> got 400CC UHP under the muscle 11 days ago. My implants are still high & I know they will drop, but I am concerned that the side of my breast is not round. Not the profile, the actual sides of my breasts when you look at me straight on. Will the implants fill out the sides/bottom a little more when they drop? They just don't look like a natural womanly boob because the sides/bottom don't have a curve to them.
Answer: Breast Augmentation Flat sides can be seen early on. You may have what I call "Frankenboobs." As the implants settle they will "fluff" out. Be patient.

Answer: Will breast implants fill out the bottom/sides of breasts when they drop? Over the next 3-6 months your implants will settle into place. The tissues of your breast will stretch and soften. If there any concerns, it's best to direct these to your plastic surgeon. They'll be able to tell you exactly what to expect in the coming months.

Answer: Implants Will Settle into Place with Time #breastaugmentation #breastimplants With time, and it could take a few months, your implants will settle into place. The larger the implant and the smaller the breast, the longer this can take. As you realize, 11 days post-operatively is much too soon to see your final breast shape/appearance.You can expect the implants to fill out the sides/bottom of your breast as they settle into place. With time, gravity, and the weight of the implants stretching your breast skin, you may notice a significant difference in appearance of your breasts now compared to 3 months from now. Thanks for sharing!

Answer: Will my breasts look rounder and fuller at the bottom? Hello and thank you for your question. Congratulations on undergoing breast augmentation! It is normal to have worries and concerns initially after any surgery as there is a lot of trust patients put in their surgeons to deliver the results they desire and the moment of truth is after surgery. Many people envision their breasts being much larger after they first unveil them, but once the initial worries of having undergone surgery subside, most patients see that they received what they expected. Considering you are only 11 days out from surgery, what you are describing is very common, although it is hard to comment without pictures. My advice to you is to hang in there, as your breasts will look even better, but you need to be patient as your implants settle. Based on your timeline, your implants are probably still riding high. This is because right now they are squished by the activation of your pectoralis major muscle and tissue swelling due to the inflammatory response after surgery. Once they are in their final position and lower pole of your breasts are not as tight, your breasts will appear even larger and rounder but less swollen up top; usually this process occurs as the pectoralis major muscle relaxes and the implants are no longer squeezed upward and settle into their ideal position. This process usually takes 1-3 months, but can take up to 6 months. Also, make sure to relay your concerns to your plastic surgeon as most value the patient-doctor relationship and want to be first in line to help their patients. If you are not happy with the size once they are fully settled, then you can consider pursuing a revision, but I doubt you will. Please be patient and hopefully this helps alleviate some of your concerns. Sincerely,Dr. Sean Kelishadi
