Will Indentation from Scratch Wound Remain?

My 2 year old was scratched on his face. We kept it clean and let it heal. It has been a week and the scab is gone but looks indented and still slightly pink. Will the indention remain? The scratch is an inch long.

Great question.  Sometimes keloids can occur as a result of a surgical procedure.  I would recommend that you begin early treatment with pulsed dye laser, IIT, and pressure treatment to reduce the keloid scar and reduce recurrence of the scar.

Absolutely. Keloids require medical and surgical treatment to correct and prevent deformity.  A 15 year old is not too young to undergo a procedure.
