I have a pretty nasty scar from a fall it's almost two years old. it's a wrinkly patch with indented hair follicles and one slighty more raised line from a deeper cut. ive got one steroid shot which cause the surrounding skin to indent for a while and left a hole where it was injected however made little to no difference on the actual scar. ive been using silicon gel as well as Gell sheets but the scar still looks pretty bad and noticeable. I want to know the treatment options as well as how much improvement could I potentially see.
I got an abnormal mole removed from my chest about nine months ago. The dermatologist removed it via shave excision. i am using silicone sheets, but am not happy with the appearance. Are there any suggestions about any treatments that can be done to make this less obvious? Thanks!
I started using silicone sheets on a burn scar under my nose (12 hrs/day) and saw a big improvement in redness over 1 month. When I started wearing them the whole day, my skin became itchy and red. I stopped for 3 weeks and used ketoconazole. When I restarted for 2hrs/day, my skin became irritated again. I also have seb derm on that area. I want to continue using the sheets but need to calm down my skin. My derm suggested using desonide and pimecrolimus but don't steroids increase yeast?
I have a keloid on my shoulder that I went to a dermatologist to get kenalog injections as well as using silicone scar sheets. This is the result after using the scar sheets every day. The keloid is softer, still itchy and sunken. But I am wondering what other treatments can I do for the whiteness to start fading away and decrease in size. Thank you.
Unfortunately I've been getting laser tattoo removal, and it's led to blistering which have led to scarring. Some scars are old, some new. The newest one is really bothering me the most because it's pink and has gotten more noticable recently, and it's raised. I get sick to my stomach looking at my arm every day now, in certain lighting they all look worse. Could this be removed with silicone gel sheets? Or is there something a doctor could do to remove them completely?
fairly light skin male very fit 1- Is silicone scar gel good or bad for indented scar since I believe it inhibits collagen and an indented scar needs to fill in 2- Since ER Dr did not irrigate wound when I asked him to- close up view looks like there might be some small debris or large clogged pores Any suggestions for that ? Probably doing IPL subcision filler and then some type of surfacing Wound is 7 weeks old
Thank you in advance! My eyelid scars extend past my eyes and the skin around the scars seem to build up around them creating very significant wrinkles. I had fine lines and a little crease when I smiled from some hooding, but nothing like this. I am just30, so I was hoping if you knew what happened and can it be fixed so I look more my age again. I try my best to use silicone sheets but Im worried it wont make it all smooth even after consistent usage.
I decided to self harm on my upper left arm about three months ago. Most of the scars are extremely thin and I can barely even see them myself. There are 4 specific scars where I cut a bit deeper, but not extremely deep. I bought silicone sheets as well as applied Vaseline to the scars for about a couple weeks. The scars are not raised but they have gotten darker in shade. I started applying the silicone sheets again, but idk if it will be enough. Any answers would greatly help.
I fell of my bike 2.5 months ago and had a bad scrape on my left knee. For the first 30 days, I put on Vaseline and a new bandaid each day after a shower. For days 31-75, I kept a Scaraway silicone sheet on the site for nearly 24 hours a day, but it looks like a scar is still forming. My body tends to form dark scars easily and I have some at other locations. How can I prevent or treat the scar on my knee?
