I burned my upper lip while drinking hot chocolate and it formed a white burn mark (scar) on my upper lip. The scar is white and is in form of small dots. This happens about 10 months ago. What kind of procedure is needed to get rid of this scar.
Ive had this scar-thing on my upper lip since I was a child. Im 42 now. Im not sure what it is, I think its a fordyce spot thats been inflamed and grown and eventually just settled as scar tissue. I want to get rid of it. What do you suggest I do? Would this need to be surgically cut or lasered?
I started the bad habit of biting my upper lip at about 8yrs old. I did it so often it would cut n bleed. After it healed, I would do it again and again. Now there's a dark scar on my upper lip switch I'm insecure about. How do I get rid of it??
I went to a plastic surgeon for a consultation. The biggest part of the ( burn) scar is approximately in the middle of my upper lip. The rest of the scar is along the vermillion. The surgeon's plan of action is to excise all the area #1 marked in light blue and all area #2 marked in dark blue. Area 1 will close horizontally. Area 2 will close vertically. I am afraid of uneven healing, and worsening it! My question: What can be done to improve the look of my upper lip, and not destroy it?
I carelessly peeled the skin on my upper lip causing a tear on 2020. The lip has healed into an indented scar where the top layers of skin does not grow back. The indent sticks out and is noticeable as its on the middle of my lip. When my lips are dry, the indent is deep. However, if i apply enough lip balm or moisturizer, the scar becomes completely invisible. This will only last an hour, but is that a good sign the scar can be removed?
When I was about 6 years old my upper lip became very uneven with this crease in the middle. I have always been very insecure about it. When I was 12 I had a lip tie cut because my dentist recommended it as a remedy for the lip. That of course did not help. I later had plastic surgery to cut part of the tissue off and it helped for a little while but returned a couple years later. My dad has a similar issue. What can I do? I would like to be able to smile confidently again.
When I was around a year old I fell on concrete and busted my lip really bad in Cuba. The doctors never did surgery on me because I was too young, so fast forwarding to now me being 29 I have this noticeable bump on my lip that I just want to remove. I have a scar but its inside of my lip so you cant see it. What procedure would I need or what doctor should I go to for this? 5ft/ 29 years old/ medium-tan skin
Around 2/3 years ago I made the awful decision to remove an upper lip mole that I was teased about with apple cider vinegar at home, I was only 15 at the time and didnt know any better, scarring never even crossed my mind. After I removed it it was really red and back then I didnt understand the importance of sunscreen, like I do now. The scar is shiny and very noticeable and I have zero self confidence. Whats the best way to help the appearance of this? Im desperate at this point.
