I have a pretty nasty scar from a fall it's almost two years old. it's a wrinkly patch with indented hair follicles and one slighty more raised line from a deeper cut. ive got one steroid shot which cause the surrounding skin to indent for a while and left a hole where it was injected however made little to no difference on the actual scar. ive been using silicon gel as well as Gell sheets but the scar still looks pretty bad and noticeable. I want to know the treatment options as well as how much improvement could I potentially see.
Hi. I had an IPL done on my face and had blistering occur. It was two months ago now and this is the scar I'm left with! Aside from the obvious discoloration, it is also indented. I feel very upset because it's very noticeable:(. What laser treatment might help with this PLEASE? I'm so worried that nothing can be one...
I am about three weeks post-op from my septorhinoplasty, and I've noticed one of my nostril scars is healing differently than the other. It seems as though each side of the nostril rim opposite the incision is healing separately instead of blending together. The scar is quite indented/depressed. Can I expect this to get better with time, or perhaps with a silicone scar gel? Or should I expect a future scar revision to remedy this? Other than this minor issue, I'm very pleased with my results!
I had upper blepharoplasty 4 months ago. One side has a long scar, with an indentation on the lateral side. Its very noticeable in natural daylight - makeup doesnt help. My surgeon said that the incision would be hidden within the eyelid crease, but it is not. I have a mild case of lagophthalmos on this side, so Im hesitant to pursue treatments that might worsen it. Could CO2 laser or other options help improve the indentation of the scar without increasing the risk to my eyelid function?
I have a scar next to my eyebrows which is now as a result of a scar revision surgery 8 years ago. The indentation of the scar bothers me the most rather than the colour. Im looking for options to disguise and minimise the scar e.g. is there a possibility to revise the scar so its closer to eyebrows so can be filled in with eyebrow hair etc
I have had these indented scars since I was very young when I was about five, obtained from falling on a sharp table edge and receiving stitches. The scar tone itself blends into my surrounding skin, the only problem is the scar creates a shadow. I would like to know if fat grafting would work and if so could I combine it with subcision to fill the spot and make it look smooth as if it was never there?
I recently had a scar revision on my leg (November) but I'm not sure about how it's healing. I can't tell if it's indented or the sides are raised and will flatten down. It's not how I expected a surgical scar to heal. It has no visible scar line. Does it need doing again?
I had hip replacement surgery 9 months ago that left me with a deeply indented scar that is even visible in clothing. I am only 45 years old and petite (weigh 48 kg, 153 cm tall). This scar makes me feel very self-conscious and I was was wondering what caused it to be so indented and if there is anything I can do to improve it either surgically or non surgically?
