II have also tried Xeomin and Dysport to no avail. Sad! So what is the best way to address forehead lines? I assume some fillers are better than others for the forehead area. Also what can be done to soften crowsfeet without Botox?
Answer: What is the best filler for forehead lines? There are a variety of options for treating both forehead as well as crow's feet lines and so it really depends on your individual characteristics and goals. Without a photo, we really can't offer options that will work for you but simply broad-based recommendations. To get started, I would make sure that you are using a high-quality medical skincare line for your entire face, neck and chest. What you use on your skin makes a huge difference in the overall appearance and will help improve results from fillers and toxins in the long run. From there, there are a number of fillers that work quite well in these areas. I generally prefer Volbella XC or Vollure XC for finer lines and wrinkles and so these may be an ideal option for you. These fillers can then be combined with a series of microneedling/PRP treatments to achieve even more dramatic results.I hope that helps and wish you the very best!Warmest regards,Gregory A Buford MD FACSBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author

Answer: Forehead Hello,Thank you for your question. Without a picture it is difficult to give an exact answer. With that being said, you may want to consider laser for the lines. Different lasers can stimulate collagen growth which will tighten the skin and minimize fine lines. Please consult with a local physician in person to determine the best course of action. Good luck!

Answer: Improving wrinkles with botox/xeomin/dysport and fillers; laser like Fraxel or radiofrequency venus viva/intensif; microneedle A combination approach would give the most improvement. Movement lines and superficial wrinkles improve best with botox, dysport or xeomin. Fine wrinkles need lasers like clear and brilliant, fraxel or erbium or co2; radiofrequency like venus viva or intensife microneedling RF; microneedling with PRP and stem cells; aquagold treatment; or soft fillers like belotero, restylane silk or refyne, revanesse versa, or juvederm volbella. Deep wrinkles can be improved with a combination of Botox and/or fillers for the lines themselves and to build anatomical support with Sculptra for collagen building. Agressive deep peeling like phenol/TCA and J plasma can be used for deeper scarring or wrinkles. Ultherapy is great for lifting of this are and thermage is great for tightening and improving overall texture. Montly facialis like silk peel, dermalinfusion, salt facial, and microneedling with retinol masks can really help fine wrinkles and pore size. You really need a combinaation apporach and proper daily skin care and sun protection for the best results. Please consult with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Filler for frown lines vs forehead lines. I use a very thin filler like Belotero for the deep frown lines. You have to make sure to get an expert injector as injecting the area carry certain risks. There are blood vessels underneath the forehead lines and if the filler was placed in the wrong area and too much filler was used, there could be a resulting ischemia ( blood vessels supply is cut off by compression). If there is ischemia, the skin can also be affected causing necrosis. Another rare side effect is injecting the blood vessels supplying the eye causing vision loss .These are rare side effects and can be prevented by going to an expert trusted injector. For horizontal forehead lines, if these are superficial lines , microneedling, chemical peels or laser treatment may help with these lines if Botox does not work. I also advise my patients to use Retinoids ( Retin A products) as part of their daily routine to help with fine lines and wrinkles. Thank you for your question. Ladie Arana-Domondon. MD,FACP

Answer: Careful with fillers in the forehead Fillers can be used all over the face but there are areas that are more risky to fill. The forehead can be one of those places. Fillers are made up of a gel type material and if that gel material gets in a vessel and stops blood flow, we call it an occlusion. An occlusion can lead to death, stroke or blindness. Many people who have gotten fillers in the forehead don't even know that this is a possibility with a filler. An occlusion can happen to any injector even a plastic surgeon with or without a cannula ( certainly less risk with a cannula or in some areas injecting to the periosteum). So please understand the risks and ask the correct questions of the provider. I think microneedling( with PRP), microchanneling (with botox and filler mixed with NS), peels and or laser resurfacing could be something to consider. I
