Is this internal valve collapse? (Photo)

Question

I feel like the insides of my nose touch when I inhale. The right nostril closes a bit more than the left. I saw my doctor for an in person exam and he did not acknowledge that I had valve collapse. I'm starting to think I'm crazy? Can anyone tell me if this is valve collapse? I am a year post op

What do you mean that the surgeon did not acknowledge that you had valve collapse? Did you specifically ask? To me, the right ENV is definitely collapsed but it's more easily assessed if we have a video of you breathing in and out and seeing if the nostrils physically clamp down.

Hello, hope you are well. The narrowing of your right nostril is called external valved collapse. Your A-P view is suggestive of an element of internal valve collapse as well, but your nose really would need to be examined in person for a proper evaluation.

Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can see from your photos your nostrils are almost completely closed. You might have really problematic breathing issues. You need a revision surgery first for your health. It would be more convenient to decide with face-to-face consultation. Best Regards!

Your nostril is moving inward with inspiration, this is more indicative of external valve incompetence and not internal.
