Hi, I have had my implants in for over 5 years now, and I haven't always been happy with them. Before my procedure, we discussed everything in a lot of detail, but concluded that I would let my doctor decide weither to go under the muscle or over. Now looking back I really wish I went against that idea, and pushed for over the muscle implants. My breasts now feel like they have been pushed downwards, feel uncomfortable and look unnatural. Can I have another procedure done after this?
Answer: Implants You did not post photos, so I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon and discussing your concerns and options. Implants can be placed in front of the muscle and fat grafting can be added for more tissue for coverage of the implants if needed.

Answer: Breast revision surgery for breast implants Breast revision surgery can be done for a wide variety of reasons. Implant re-positioning is one the primary reasons. There are a number of technologies that can be used to help re-position the implant and keep it below the muscle. It is also possible to have the plane changed from below the muscle to above the muscle.

Answer: Implants from below to above the muscle Hello thank you for your question. Naturally our bodies change with time and especially after having children. Over time and with gravity the natural breast tissue will be pull downwards and not as perky as in prior years. Now the implants placed under the muscle will also fall with time however they wont fall in line with your natural breast tissue because the muscle acts as support to the implant. With that being said it may look different then when first placed. Yes its possible to place the implant above the muscle but keep in mind of what you really want the outcome to be. I would speak to your plastic surgeon about whats happening now and bring in some wish pics to help identify what you have in mind. For some before and after photos feel free to check out our website.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear faffy1936, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals.
