Hi, I'm 35 :) I have a bit of an overbite and (maybe as a result) my lower face is more lined than I would like. I'm also a size 6/8 so my face is quite thin...which maybe doesn't help? I was wondering if having a mini facelift would resolve the lines either side of my mouth?
Answer: Facelift vs COC2 laser Thank you for your question and for sharing your photographs. Based on the photos you have submitted, it appears that there is a degree of acne scarring present, which can often be associated with changes in skin elasticity. These changes may have a more pronounced impact in someone who is slim, as reduced facial volume can make lines more noticeable. For addressing the visibility of the lines lateral to the corners of the mouth, particularly when you smile, there are two main treatment options to consider: facelift surgery or CO2 laser resurfacing. A lower facelift can help by reducing laxity in the perioral region. While the muscles around the mouth will continue to influence contours during smiling, the visibility of the lines around the corners of the mouth is likely to decrease as a result of the improved skin tension and contour achieved by the facelift. CO2 laser treatment, on the other hand, focuses on resurfacing the skin to improve its texture and elasticity, which can also help reduce the visibility of lines in this area. This approach is less invasive but may be more suitable for addressing the texture rather than elasticity issues related to acne scarring. I recommend discussing these options with a qualified specialist to determine which approach best suits your goals and skin characteristics.

Answer: Face No, the lower facelift will not remove all the lines. I would start with micro-needling combined with radiofrequency for tightening and smoothing those area. Sculptra injections could be added for improved volume and skin texture.

Answer: Mid-facelift Hi from İstanbul, thanks for your question. These lines are caused by muscle activity, and a facelift can improve their appearance by reducing excess skin in the area. While a mini facelift would help, combining it with a mid-facelift would provide more comprehensive and longer-lasting results. Best of luck to you!

Answer: Information and Related Treatment Recommendations Hello; It is not possible to correct the lines; which is located in the nasolabial and marionette areas; with a mini facelift procedure. Since you are young, I recommend for devices; such as Thermage FLX or filler treatments; such as PLA filler (Sculptra, Lanluma), Ca Hydroxyapatite (Radiesse); that increase for skin quality and firmness.

Answer: Consider HA Fillers For Treating Parallel Laugh Lines Here's the good news. A low viscosity, cohesive, malleable HA filler can be used to treat these "parallel laugh lines" that appear with smiling. I have personally been treating this problem with the appropriate HA fillers in this quick and simple fashion for abut two decades with immediate gratifying results. Surgery is expensive, engenders significant downtime, and carries the risks for post-surgical infection, scarring, stretch scars and even the development of tram track stitch marks. You would be wise to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist filler expert before jumping into surgery. Best of luck.
