However, is important that you have total capsulectomy. It is important to note that after the removal of implants, the skin and tissues of the breast may be stretched or sagging, which can lead to a less-than-ideal appearance.

If you do decide to have a lift, the most optimal and aesthetically adequate option would be immediate reconstruction with the BRALAN technique (Breast Reconstruction Anatomical Lift Augmentation) combine with a breast lift to provide a natural and lifted appearance. If you remove your implants and do not replace them, you will lose the fullness in the upper portion of your breast. Your nipple position appears appropriate and would likely not require a lift for repositioning; however, a breast lift would help tighten any excess skin following explant. You may also want to explore options such as autoaugmentation with fat transfer following explant to help maintain some volume. Ultimately, you have a variety of options to discuss with your plastic surgeon.
