Rippling on 13 year old breast implants - is it due to the implants being old or is it something worse? (photos)

As you get older your skin gets thinner and the implants are stretching out the skin envelope from the load of the implants. You may be better off with explant and lift. The technique I recommend explantation and lift using The Bellesoma Method. The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained if not injured during your previous surgery. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired.

Usually, rippling is from your tissue being stretched and thinned from the weight of the implant and the implant is becoming more noticeable. However, do have a mammogram if you have not had one done in the past 1-2 years.
