Scalp MicroPigmentation or SMP is basically a tattoo. Like any tattoo the quality of the work differs. IF you want to see how it looks in the sun ask the doctor if you can meet with former patients.
SMP, or scalp micropigmentation, is a painless procedure that uses highly specialized equipment and unique techniques to carefully and expertly inject all-natural, color-tailored pigments into the scalp creating a completely natural look of the patient’s hairline. A typical procedure involves an initial consultation and two pigmentation sessions to achieve the desired results. You can wash your head the fourth day after the treatment and, during that time, avoid any strenuous activity that will prompt undesired sweating. Once the procedure is complete, the results of a Scalp Micropigmentation treatment can last up to five years. In your situation, SMP still looks great in sunlight, maintaining its natural look. However, increased exposure to sunlight may lead to sunburn and fading.
Scalp micro-pigmentation should look no different in the sun than in regular indoor lighting. That said, heavy sunlight can lead to sunburns which are not healthy for the scalp. Not only can sun exposure lead to fading of the SMP, but it can also result in pre-mature aging and skin cancer.
SMP is to help enhancing the darker background of the scalp. If you have thin hair, the scalp with SMP may shine under the strong sun. Too much sun exposure can make SMP fade quicker.
Hello. There should not be any issue as to how you will look in the sun, lighting is not an issue.
To a degree it depends on the type of pigment used and the application by the technician. With natural shaved hair in the sun the look can change depending on the hair characteristics. The length of hair etc. Not a lot of difference with the pigment. How deep the tone is against the skin complexion which is largely dictated by blending with your own hair. It should look perfectly natural and keep the blend as long as the hair is kept at the correct length.
SMP will look good in all lighting conditions. However, it is advised to use sun protection as prolonged sun exposure can cause some color changes with time, no matter how good the ink is. Another problem that some face is the fact that the scalp may still look shiny, despite of the fact that a naturally shaved head does not shine. You can overcome this by using some types of anti-shine creams that are commercially sold.
Scalp Micropigmentation should look good anytime, indoors or outside. You must keep the SMP out of the sun as it causes changes in color by prolonged exposure to sun
Lasers may be able to remove SMP or tattoo but you would likely need to shave your head first. You need to see a doctor for an examination to see if it may work for your case.
Yes, It can change color and become green or blue. However, if it is done right with the right concentration of the pigmenta and proper color, the risk of discoloration is very minimal. We prefer non permanent pigments for the same reason. They may fade but usually don't turn blue.
It´s impossible to say without clear images. But one factor is going to be the contrast between your skin complexion and the pigment tone used. It maybe simply the pigment stands out too much from the surrounding hair and looks unnatural. Basically does not add to the look of fullness just sits ...
