A full tummy tuck treats several concerns. First it gets rid of the excess skin and fat of the abdomen by removing it and pulling you tight. In addition, a full tummy tuck addresses the laxity of the abdominal wall. As we age and/or lose weight, our abdominal wall gets looser. A full tummy tuck recreates the tightness of the abdominal wall to flatten the appearance of the abdomen. Typically a mini-tummy tuck addresses only the excess skin and fat.
