I had liposuction focusing on my flanks in December 2021, but it resulted in asymmetry as shown in image 1. The surgeon suggested a correction and mentioned doing HD lipo in June 2022 as shown in image 2. However, the HD lipo turned out badly, so I went back to the surgeon who proposed undoing the HD lipo in February 2023. After this third procedure, I was left with no fat on my stomach and a very difficult-to-fix fibrosis. My question is: what procedure should I undergo to get my stomach back t
Answer: The best option for you! Hello The most effective solutions for fibrosis that occurs after liposuction are massage, fat injection, and PLA injection. If a steroid injection is to be done, it should be done with great caution.

Answer: Fibrosis after liposuction This can be a very tricky revision. Usually it involves precise liposuction and fat grafting. Even better results can be achieved sometimes with a short abdominoplasty scar to allow for the scar tissue to be released or removed from below. Also, pulling on the skin will help when the above methods are used. When you consider a plastic surgeon, make sure they have experience in this.

Answer: Morpheus Burst is a good option to smooth out the skin nicely. Morpheus Burst is a skin tightening procedure that smooths and tightens the skin so that irregularities get better. Probably 2 sessions done 6 weeks apart would be the best option.

Answer: Liposuction caused disfigurement Unfortunately, Liposuction should be considered permanent and irreversible. There is no easy way to correct your outcome once the fat has been removed and it was done incorrectly. Personally, I’m not a big fan of high definition Liposuction. All too often it looks very unnatural and typically only gets worse with aging. Your last procedure was unfortunate. Replacing the fat with fat transfer is unlikely to be successful. At this point there are very few treatments that are going to give you quality outcomes. Unfortunately, the decision to have more. Liposuction was probably a mistake. Delivering consistent quality Liposuction results is more difficult than most people realize. The number of plastic surgeons who approach mystery of this procedure is in reality quite small. Most plastic surgeons think they’re better at Liposuction than they actually are. I recommend patients be far more Selective than they may think necessary before considering having permanent irreversible body contouring procedures. For those considering Liposuction, I generally recommend starting the process by having at least four or five in person consultations before considering selecting a provider or even thinking about scheduling surgery. During each consultation to bring pictures of your body taken the same way plastic Surgeons take before and after pictures. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of the before, and after pictures of previous patients had similar body characteristics to your own. This means that you want to see pictures of previous patients who were approximately the same age, had similar amounts of subcutaneous fat and especially similar levels of skin laxity or skin tightness. Being shown a handful of pre-selected images representing only the best results of a providers career may be insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like in the hands of each provider. It may also be insufficient to understand what your results are likely to look like based on your unique candidacy for the procedure. Not everybody seeking Liposuction is a good candidate for the procedure. Take careful notes during each consultation, especially regarding the quantity and quality of before and after pictures. There’s no correct number of consultations needed to find the right provider. The more consultations you scheduled the more likely you are to find a better provider for your needs. The two biggest mistakes I see patients make are the following. The first is having only one consultation and then scheduling surgery. Having only one consultation, more or less eliminates the ability to choose a better provider. The second biggest mistake is assuming that somebody who’s bored certified in plastic surgery with years of experience and a handful of good reviews has mastered most plastic surgical procedures. Liposuction is sometimes perceived by both patients and providers as being a simple operation. In reality delivering consistent, high-quality results, including the ability to make accurate assessments in regards to each persons candidacy for the procedure is in reality quite difficult and mastering this requires decades of total commitment. Look for plastic surgeons who specialize exclusively in Liposuction with decades of experience doing this procedure on a regular basis. I wish I could be more optimistic about your outcome, but believe that people who’ve been disfigured deserved to hear the truth. Be very careful with anybody who thinks that they can easily improve your outcome. Obviously more Liposuction is not going to help you at this point. Trying to correct your results by grafting fat is likely to not be successful. The reason for this is that the area where you need fat grafted is now completely devoid of property tissue to support any grafted fat. This means that any attempt at grafting fat Will lead to fat necrosis with failure of the fat graft to succeeded. Again, I wish I could be more optimistic. Mats Hagstrom MD
