There is no impact on fillers that have been placed you can even do them on the same day. I find that sculptra and bellafill get more improvement even with the combined treatment. Best, Dr. Emer.
Venus Viva depth of penetration can be titrated. I would suggest doing fillers on another day to minimize swelling and edema. Existing facial fillers in the deeper soft tissue should not be impacted. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianRealself100 Surgeon
Dear patient, Venus Viva has 2 platforms: the diamond hand-piece is non ablative radiofrequency. The more aggressive hand-piece with the ablative needles. Results are great because the energy source (ablative radiofrequency) travels down the needles into the skin to a depth of 2-4 mm. Treating over fillers is OK except if the filler was placed very very superficially such as Restylane Silk. I do not hesitate to treat the skin over areas that have had Juvederm or Voluma or Perlane for example but try to wait at least a month after treating the skin with very superficial fillers such as Restylane Silk and Bellotero. I hope this was helpful. Yours, Dr R.
Fillers can usually be used with Venus Viva without risk because it doesn't produce enough heat to liquefy them. To achieve the greatest results and reduce any possible hazards, it is recommended to wait around two weeks after receiving fillers before undergoing a Venus Viva treatment. To ensure the treatment is customized to your needs, always speak with your provider.
There are currently no studies demonstrating any negative effects to the Venus Viva procedure from the presence of dermal fillers, and in fact combining this treatment with some fillers can provide further improvement in the desired area. Venus Viva treats the superficial dermis while dermal fillers are placed deeper in the skin. Many of our patients who have chosen to be treated with Venus Viva have also had fillers injected in the same areas and have not experienced any adverse effects; however, it is important to inform your physician of the presence of any fillers in the location where you plan to receive Venus Viva prior to any treatment.
