I had ultherapy before and experienced big time facial volume loss with it. Will never do it again. I'm interested in doing Venus viva and know that its fractional RF but can it also cause facial fat loss??
Answer: Venus viva and facial volume loss Thank you for your question. We were involved in the clinical studies for the Venus Viva prior to FDA approval. Volume loss was not one of the outcomes that we have seen. The treatment is done into the skin itself and does not address or affect the fatty tissue underneath.

CONTACT NOW Answer: Venus Viva in Los Angeles Our office specializes in Venus Viva, employing the ablative Nanofractional RF for skin resurfacing. At this setting, it is unlikely that the Viva would cause deeper soft tissue volume loss.Best, Dr. KaramanoukianRealself100 Surgeon

Answer: Venus Viva - Facial Volume Loss Not Expected As you mentioned, the Venus Viva is a NanoFractional Radio Frequency device that uses non-invasive radio frequency (RF) to resurface your skin. Since the RF is directed into the skin and not the fatty tissue underneath, volume loss is not one of the outcomes experienced. Furthermore, there has been no evidence of facial volume loss in the FDA clearance study, additional clinical studies, or by any of our patients over the many treatments we have performed. While the Venus Viva is excellent at resurfacing and results in smoother, naturally healthy skin, it is important to recognize that it is not designed to correct volume loss (for this I might recommend another a filler such as Sculptra, Voluma, or Bellafill, depending on your individual goals). As in all cosmetic procedures, please meet with your physician to evaluate the area and establish a personalized treatment plan.

Answer: Venus Viva and facial volume loss Like you stated Venus Viva is RF, not ultrasound. Unfortunately it has come to light recently that ultrasound at deeper depths may contribute to volume loss - which can be a good thing for certain areas, but not for others. We've now had Venus Viva in the office for about 2 years after doing the FDA study for the company. I haven't seen or heard of any issues with volume loss. However, I wouldn't tell you to expect the Viva to correct any volume loss either and it's for tone, texture, and minor skin resurfacing only. "This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and cannot be held as true medical advice, but only opinion.
