Just had Venus viva on Thursday, and I have huge fat lumpiness under my eyes. What happened? (Photo)

Viva can cause swelling for 5-7 days, my patients get at home biocellulose masks and steroid injection if needed.  I have them all take antihistamins for 7 days as well.  I suggest speaking to your provider.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Dear patient, swelling and edema is common after venus viva treatments in the facial area. I suggest that you call your dermatologist and ask about taking an oral anti-inflammatory such as Advil. Oral Arnica and cool compresses also help. Please make sure that you sleep with a couple of pillows under your head. The sweliing is ussally temporary.

Lower eyelid edema can occur after ablative lasers and RF. The goal is to minimize the reaction with lymphatic massage, soothing Elevase Moisture Booster with ceramides, and antihistamines if indicated. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian
