Thanks for your question. Morpheus8 is a non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatment that uses a combination of microneedling and radiofrequency energy to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and skin laxity. This device is FDA approved; however, the effectiveness and results of this treatment can vary depending on a number of factors. One reason some people may achieve better results than others is because of differences in skin type and condition. For example, individuals with thicker, more resilient skin may experience more dramatic improvements than those with thinner, more delicate skin. Additionally, patients with more advanced signs of aging may require multiple treatments to achieve optimal results. Another factor that can affect the outcome of Morpheus 8 treatments is the experience and skill of the provider performing the procedure. A qualified and experienced doctor will be able to customize the treatment to each patient's individual needs, using the appropriate needle depth and energy settings for optimal results. However, with the correct parameters of depth and energy level, you would need a proper local anesthesia infiltration to reduce the discomfort. Several practitioners use very low energy levels to reduce the discomfort of the patient, but unfortunately, this low level of energy doesn't give any results. For this reason, in my clinical practice, I use local anesthesia infiltration (and not only numbing cream) to reduce the discomfort. This allows me to use the same platform of Facetite that can only be used by doctors and the correct parameters in terms of energy, depth, and number of sessions. Finally, it is important to note that Morpheus8 is not a one-time solution for aging skin. While the treatment can provide significant improvements in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and skin laxity, the effects will eventually wear off. For this reason, it is important to maintain a good skincare regimen and to undergo periodic "touch-up" treatments (I usually advise one additional session every 6-8 months) to maintain the results. It is important to note that Morpheus 8 is a safe and effective treatment when performed by a qualified doctor. For this reason, in our clinic, Morpheus 8 is performed by a doctor with experience in local anesthetic infiltration to reduce the discomfort. I would advise having a consultation with a qualified and experienced doctor to discuss the best options for your individual needs and goals. Hope this helps. Dr. Giuseppe Fiore.
