I'm so upset. I have had lip filler before & this isn't normal. Stupid me. I went to new injector out of town because my friend had a botox filler party. I had Vollure/Volift put in my lips and immediately I felt like my top lip was too big, but the doctor said it looked fine. I got on a flight home tonight & looked at my face and I'm freaking out. I have a huge bump when I smile and they are huge. How soon can I get this dissolved. Can i do it the day after? How hyaluronidase cost a fortune too?
Answer: Dissolving filler Dear Gonetofar,Thank you for your question and photos. I am sorry you had a bad experience. It may be too early to tell if the bump is caused from swelling or from the actual filler. Swelling is normal for up to two weeks and therefore I suggest waiting to see if the bump will go down. In the meantime, I suggest ice compresses to reduce the swelling. If after two weeks, you still have swelling, I would suggest getting it dissolved. Best regards,Nima Shemirani

Answer: How soon can I get lips dissolved after filler? My upper lip has bumps and is huge after a day Thank you for sharing your question and I am sorry to hear of your poor experience and current outcome. The thin nature of the lip tissues do leave them prone to swelling, with resolution typically taking 2-3 days after treatment. Your results meanwhile will continue to soften and appear more natural over the next 2-3 weeks. Though I can not verify without physically touching your tissues if your lumps are due to swelling or filler, I would advise some patience to allow your results to mature and would recommend cold compresses to your lips, sleeping with your head slightly elevated, and using oral/topical arnica and bromelain to help speed your healing. If little improvement is seen then have the excess material dissolved. Hope this helps.

Answer: How soon can I get lips dissolved after filler? My upper lip has bumps and is huge after a day. I'm sorry. It sounds like you fell victim to peer pressure and made a poor decision to have an injection with someone you cannot have a patient-physician relationship. Despite this, I think it's too early to dissolve, which if done too soon, will make you more swollen temporarily. I suggest seeing an experienced local injector and see what is recommended. In the meantime, see my video link on ways to manage swelling.

Answer: Vollure/hyaluronidase Thank you for your question, Fillers for lips can periodically lead to lumps/bumps from the filler being unevenly distributed. This happens to every injector regardless of experience level. You can get this dissolved at any time however, I usually ask my patients to come in to the office and try massage the lump down first. This works within 2 weeks of injecting the product. I often can resolve these issues with this technique; however, if it is after 2 weeks, I usually dissolve with a small amount of hyaluronidase. For patients that I have injected, I do this complimentary. For patients who have been injected elsewhere, I charge a nominal fee for the procedure ($75). Hope this helps All the best.

Answer: Hyaluronidase You can get it dissolved as soon as you want. Most places dissolve complimentary if you were treated there and not happy with your results. Since you see an injector regularly, I would check in with them to see if they would be willing to do this for you.
