Juvederm Vollure XC went down within days! (Photo)

Question

I'm beyond sad. I saved up for this expensive lip filler. My top lip more than my bottom lip is gone down significantly. The center charged me $450 with their August discount or else it would've costed $495. I'm waiting to hear back from them but would I have to pay?! All over again? I got a full syringe.

Thank you for sharing your photographs.  I would check on two things with the center - one, was it Vollure that they used or was it Volbella; second, how much was placed?  Based on your supplied price point and degree of correction it appears that you had Volbella placed.  If you liked the degree of correction immediately after treatment this typically indicates that you need more filler placed than a single syringe.  I would also advocate for a thicker filler such as Juvederm Ultra Plus or Vollure if in fact Volbella was used.

It sounds like they may have used Volbella for you instead of Vollure... Volbella is typically .5mL which is half a syringe. It is extremely subtle results - it is mostly used for smoothing out lip lines, not for plumping up the lips. Vollure is typically a MUCH higher price point and you would notice a big "before and after" difference.

It does sound like it was not Vollure that was used, if the charge was $450. Typically Vollure is quite a bit more than that price point. Definitely reach out to the clinic,  they will probably ask you to wait two weeks for all swelling to subside. It is not unusual to need more than one syringe when you first start filling lips. Many patients find they need a few syringes to get them to a point at which they are satisfied and then its more maintenance after that.
