I had Juv Vollure 3 days ago in nasal folds , have had a chemical taste in mouth and throat ever since. Also talking sounds more nasally . Could it be going into sinuses?
Answer: Vollure It is not possible assuming proper injection. This reaction is highly likely to be due to some other cuases. Please contact a qualified provider or a board-certified physician with extensive experience in these procedures.

Answer: Filler to the Nasiolabial folds--Does not leak into the sinuses! Dear Realself friend, Fillers like the HA Vallure can not leak into the sinuses. Those get injected fairly superficial just under your skin. Even stronger fillers that get injected deeper like Restylane Lyft or the Juvederm Volluma still go above bone and stay there. Your sinuses are covered with bone which is not easy to penetrate. With that said, sinuses can get penetrated through mouth procedures such as placement of implants or root canals when the roots ate already located in the sinuses. If you are feeling a funny taste in your mouth and sinuses I would consult your dentist or see an ENT for further diagnosis. Hope this helps. Best, Dr. Onir
