48 hours post Sculptra and my face is HUGE and uneven? Am I stuck this way? 2 vials too much?

I'm sorry you seem so concerned about your swelling! It will go away and fade away almost completely. You may even think that nothing will happen after the swelling is gone, but slowly over a few weeks you will see collagen growth and enhancement. Prepare yourself! It takes time.
It's normal to inject two vials in one session.

Hello,Two vials will do very little, and your results from Sculptra take months.  What you're seeing is swelling, which goes away on its own in a few days to a week, without expensive and unnecessary treatments.  These energy based treatments may have a negative impact on your facial fat anyway, so best to avoid.  Just be patient. Best of luck!

This can be typical after Sculptra injections. Swelling will take 1-2 weeks to resolve.  You can get RF treatments like venus legacy or thermi 250 to give improvement. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer.

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  Most likely your current results are the result of the carrier fluid used to introduce Sculptra into your face.  This fluid is quickly absorbed by your body over the first 24-48 hours to largely restore your pre-treatment appearance.  Sculptra provides gradual improvement over the first 6-8 weeks in younger patients and up to 6 months in older ones.  Hope this helps.

As Sculptra is a polylactic acid it helps stimulate collagen production and is great for facial volume. Please remember Sculptra does not show immediate results as it takes 45-60 days. Two vials of Sculptra is a common amount for the first treatment to  a thin and /or sagging face. Often there is swelling at 48 hours which should resolve, with massage and fluid absorption.This should occur over the first week. 

Thank you for your question. I understand your concern but it is much too early to evaluate your results. You most likely have some significant ongoing swelling which should resolve over the coming days. It is not unusual for some patients to have more prolonged swelling. As the swelling goes down the asymmetry will likely resolve as well. I would give it two weeks and if you are still concerned, schedule a follow-up with your injecting physician. Two vials is a very common starting point for most patients. Keep in mind each vial is mixed with 6-10 ml of sterile water/lidocaine. Be sure to massage your injected areas 5 times per day for 5 minutes for 5 days following your treatment.

Hi gonetofar,The swelling you are seeing is just from the liquid from the injection and normal reaction to an injected filler. Sculptra works by inducing collagen growth and the changes will be visible in 45-60 days, not immediately. Hyaluronic fillers produce instantaneous results but this never happens with Sculptra.All the best,Justin Harper, M.D.
