I have been seeing Dr. Atkin for Botox and Filler for years. She had kept me looking and feeling young. We first came to her when my kids were teenagers for acne treatment. She was great at pinpointing what they needed to get their skin clear and keep it clear.
I have had acne since I was 13 years old. My face, back and chest. Nothing worked in keeping it under control until I did Smoothbeam. I have had about 8 treatments over the last 5 years and my skin looks great. An added benefit is that I am creating new collagen with each treatment so it is helping me age better too.
Thank you for your question. ThermiTight is used for tightening the tissue in the neck and jawline. Collagen is stimulated and connective tissue is tightened to redefine the neck and jawline. ThermiSmooth is another ThermiRF modality that can be sued to smooth and soften perioral / periorbital lines. With your implanted devices you would not be a good candidate for radio frequency treatments. You could consider Fraxel Re:Pair 135 for resurfacing around the mouth. Another option would be to Volbella, a hyaluronic acid dermal filler that is excellent for line lines. A third option could be MicroPen (micro needling) with PRP for collagen stimulation and a light resurfacing.
Thank you for your question. In our Del Mar Ca. practice we tell patients to remain upright and refrain from rubbing, massaging or manipulating the injected area for 3-4 hours after. Botox will not migrate after four days, so your massage will not affect it.
Thank you for your question. Mole cells go down into the fat layer. Shaving can be a great option for removing an unwanted or unsightly mole, however because of the depth of the cells, they may grow back. Provided the tissue was sent to a pathologist to review and has been deemed benign you can consider having it reduced with a laser such as Fraxel or Smoothbeam. Another option would be to have the residual mole removed with a punch excision and any scar that occurs can be lasered.
Thank you for your question. We recommend that you take Tylenol as needed for any post procedure discomfort. Arnica gel, cream or oral tabs may also be used to reduce swelling and bruising.
Thank you for your question. It is quite normal for your skin to get tight and dry following a chemical peel. You want to be sure you are cleansing with a mild, hydrating cleanser and moisturizing throughout the day. Sunscreen is a must! As you begin to peel you are exposing fresh "baby skin" and you want to be sure to protect it from the suns harmful rays.
