To make a quality assessment regarding the outcome of any plastic surgery procedure we need to see set of proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before, and after pictures, then ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took. Delivering Consistent quality, Liposuction results Is more difficult than most people realize. The number of plastic surgeons who approach mastery of Liposuction is in reality quite small. Revision work or correcting poorly done previous Liposuction is many times more complex and difficult than primary Liposuction. All these things put together means that provider selection becomes even more important when considering revision work. Any attempt at improving the outcome can also make things worse if you’re not in the hands of the right provider. there are a few variables that make improving the out, more difficult. The most difficult outcomes to improve our when the primary procedure was done in a very aggressive manner, leaving very little fat left to work with. An uneven, thin fat distribution is the most difficult to correct. Finding the right provider is also challenging and more difficult than most people realize. Finding the right plastic surgeon generally requires having multiple in person consultations. Bring pictures of yourself to use as reference during the consultation. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their entire collection of before, and after pictures of previous patients who had similar body characteristics. For primary liposuction and experience provider should have a large number of before and after pictures for you to review so you know accurately what your results are going to look like. For revision work providers are not going to have nearly as many examples. The best providers for doing revision work are generally the same providers who do the best primary procedures. And experience provider should have more before and after pictures than you have time to look at it during the consultation. The biggest mistake I see patients make is having only one consultation and then scheduling surgery. Having only one consultation more or less eliminates the ability to choose a better provider. Always insist on in person, consultations and police avoid virtual consultations. Whether a revision procedure is indicated in your case depends on a lot of variables. For revision work and in person consultation is almost always needed. Recognize that revision work is really difficult and any attempt can make things worse so you need to find the right provider in order to even attempt a revision. Finally, I suggest You judge the outcome based on how you feel about the outcome and how plastic surgeons perceive the results not what your friends think. That said the contour irregularities on your body should probably not be there if you were in the hands of sufficient plastic surgeon. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
