Hello I am wandering if lip lift in my situation open my upper teeth when I smile. I want to have a big smile because I have nice teeth but they don’t show up Thank you

The lip lift procedure is the only option to reduce the distance between the base of your nose and the lip border. This will allow you to show teeth when your mouth is open and when you smile. I place the scars in such a way that they are hidden in the creases by the side of the nose, in the nostrils and across the base of the columella. By doing so we achieve a great deal of patient satisfaction in hundreds of cases that I have performed. There are practitioners who place the scar on the upper part of the lip below the nostrils. This is a simpler operation for the surgeon, but if the patient has a tendency to scar, The scar could be visible and I don't believe it is the best way to do this procedure. There are few patients who have a distinct nostril sill and in those cases I discuss and give the patient the choice of incision. The incision at the vermillion cutaneous border is used in vermillion advancement procedure, but again the scar is in a visible area and if the patient is not a good healer the scars are not acceptable.

A lip lift is one option that will improve tooth show in the central part of the upper lip. But be aware that it does not change the sides of the upper lip and only affects the middle or cupid's bow area. A vermilion or lip advancement changes the whole upper lip from corner to corner.
