Hi doctors, Ive alway wanted a lip lift for years but there didnt seem to be many doctors who knew it could be done back then so i started fillers but i realized that they didnt really give me the teeth show i wanted. My goal is really to have a more rejuvenated look and more TEETH SHOW. I know my distance isnt too much (15-16mm between base of nose and upper lip) but i just want more teeth! Am i a good candidate to remove 4-5mm? Thank you!!!
Answer: Lip Lift and Teeth Show Good day! Thank you for providing photos with your inquiry. Lip lift is a minor surgical procedure that shorten the distance between the nose and upper lip. It allows more of your central upper teeth to show both at rest and when you smile. This procedure is tailored for each patient to create youthful, natural looking results. Find a board-certified plastic surgeon and discuss realistic goals and expectations. Best of luck! #RealSelf100

Answer: Upper lip lift An upper lip lift does three things: 1. Shortens the distance of the base of the nose to the upper lip Vermilion. 2. Allows your upper teeth to be seen, which is aesthetically beneficial in most cases. 3. Everts the upper lip Vermilion (rolls it outwards) to a very minor degree. I tell my patients that if they are coming to me for an upper lip lift and expect a a good deal of added "real estate" to their upper lip, they will be disappointed. An upper lip lift will give you an alluring, model-type look as you see in the glossy fashion magazines. To get a complete assessment, a plastic surgeon needs to see you in person and also assess your upper lip against the backdrop of your upper teeth when your mouth is slightly parted.

Answer: Lip lift candidate Yes you are a great candidate for a lip lift. The measurements are not so important and likely the actual measurement of the lip is longer when measured appropriately with the lip on stretch, meaning the amount removed would also be more. Regardless you have a nice aesthetic as is and doing a lip lift would enhance that. Best of luck !

Answer: Lip Lift Based on your pictures and a lip lift of 4mms that would seem to be aesthetically safe and effective procedure for your goals. The amount of lip skin removed does not translate directly into the amount of tooth show but would create about 1 to 1.5mms of increased tooth show.
