I can't sleep, they hurt, and I feel a little burning in my chest. They are heavy and I can't be on Med's because I have a young child. Overall I'm very unhappy and can't stop crying
Answer: How soon can I get my breast implants removed. I had them up in almost two weeks ago I'm sorry that you are so unhappy with your breast augmentation. You can elect to have your implants removed at any time but I encourage you first to discuss your concerns with your surgeon. You are very early in your recovery and can expect changes ahead. The implants will look and feel softer as the swelling resolves and they drop into the pocket. You may wish to see your final results before deciding to remove the implants.

Answer: How soon can I get my breast implants removed. I had them up in almost two weeks ago I recommend not making a decision in haste to remove your implants as all patients experience some period of adjustment before the implants feel a part of their bodies. The inflammation and swelling normally take 4 weeks to reduce to a point that the breast starts to feel soft and natural. The amount of time you need to recover from BA will depend on your natural healing rate, pain tolerance, and the extent of surgery performed. Discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon who can reassure you that you will feel better as time passes and the implants drop. Recommend that you ask your PS's for a pain management regimen that allows you to fulfill your responsibilities as a mother of a young child. Wait six months to assess whether the implants fit your anatomy.Kenneth Hughes, MD, ABPS Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

Answer: Implant removal Great question! Two weeks is still very early and not surprised that you're still in some pain. Understand that you did have surgery which is a major trauma to the body. Implants can be taken out anytime, but you have to be sure they are being removed for the right reasons. You need to speak with your plastic surgeon and discuss these issues.Best of luck and hope this information helps! - Dr. Roger Tsai @DrRogerTsai Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: How soon can I get my breast implants removed. I had them up in almost two weeks ago I am sorry to hear about the stressful situation you find yourself in. There is no "standard" waiting time when it comes to breast implant removal surgery. What is important: make sure that you are convinced that you do not wish to have breast implants in place and are not experiencing (quite commonly experienced) emotional "ups and downs" around the time of surgical procedures. The specific cause of the "postoperative depression" is not known; in my opinion, it is probably multifactorial ( factors such as stress, pain, unanticipated length of recovery, being away from usually enjoyed activities/people…). As I am sure you have read and heard, there is both a physical and psychological adaptation period that occurs after elective breast surgery. In other words, make your decisions very carefully so as not to have future regrets. Your plastic surgeon should be able to help you with specific questions, concerns, thoughts… Best wishes.

Answer: Time I would give it more time. Part of what you are feeling may be from the anesthesia. I recommend an in-office examination as well as a detailed discussion with a surgeon who you are comfortable with. Finally, make sure your surgeon is a Double-Board Certified Plastic Surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS), a member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).Best,Dr. DesaiBeverly Hills Institute for Aesthetic Plastic SurgeryHarvard Educated, Beverly Hills & Miami Beach TrainedDouble Board-Certified, Double Fellowship-Trained Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon
