Should I be concerned about this bruising, swelling and dents? (Photos)

Bruising and swelling can be expected after any type of breast lift surgery.  Abnormal amounts of swelling (getting visibly larger over time) associated with extreme pain on the side of swelling can be a sign of an expanding hematoma.The best option is always to contact your surgeon's office and even send photos for them to evaluate, since your surgeon is familiar with exactly what was done in your surgery.

Thank you for your question and congratulations on your surgery.  Swelling and bruising most of the time is very normal.  If you feel it is a lot and or getting a lot worse I would suggest seeing your surgeon in person so they can evaluate you.  In regards to the dents you are in the very early stages of healing and will take several months for the bulk of the swelling to come on down and breast to take proper shape.  I would suggest on that end to give it a little more time.   Best of luck to . 

It’s too early to judge aesthetics at this point. There is still a lot of swelling this early but everything you are describing sounds normal. If you are really concerned then book a follow up with your surgeon so they can reassure you. Best of luck!

Bruising and swelling are common after the procedures you have had.  It is best to discuss changes in your condition with your surgeon who is most familiar with the details of your case and how you've been progressing through recovery.  He/She can determine how you are healing and advise of "red flags" to watch for during recovery.

It is quite normal to have swelling and bruising early on after surgery. However, your surgeon can examine you and make sure everything is healing well.
