Male areola reduction - donut or lollipop or other? (Photo)

Question

Some time ago I had gynecomastia and was very obese which caused my nipples to be really big and stretched. I had 3 surgeries already: 1. donut nipple reduction, 2. gynecomastia, 3. donut nipple reduction. Currently i don't have any gynecomastia but I'm still left with very big nipples. They stretch to big when it's hot and get normal-size when it's cold. I want to go another surgery and doctors give me 2 options: donut+permanent surture or lollipop. Which one is better?

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like donut incision could be an option. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

To reduce the size of your areolas is a very simple procedure. The incision would go around the outside edges of your areolas. It can be done under local anesthesia in the OR and you’d be out in no time. If you chose to have anesthesia obviously your procedure would take longer and the cost would be greater. Exposing hot or cold weather is a sensational problem and it is normal. And according to photographs, donut+permanent surture is more suitable for you. Best of luck with your surgery..

From your photos you would be a candidate for the donut approach with the permanent sutures.  This would save  you on scarring as well.

For you, I would avoid the lollipop incision, but go with permanent sutures to reduce your areolae again.
