Plastic surgery scars require attention after surgery so that they remain cosmetically-appealing and barely noticeable. In our office, we use a protocol for scars that minimizes their activity in the 6-8 weeks after surgery. In terms of lasers, we would employ the vbeam laser for redness, Venus Viva RF, PRP microneedling, chemical peels, and Morpheus 8, fractional erbium, or fractional co2. You are far out enough from surgery to have a revision is desired. Micro-needling could be helpful to improve the scarring.

Typically we recommend scar revisions are done at least one year after surgery to allow time for the incision to mature. As you are ten months post op you can begin the process of meeting with surgeons to discuss your concerns and plan your procedure.
