Question

My birth control caused significant growth in the size of my areolas as well as ptosis of my breasts. I am not worried about the sagging because I wear a size 34A bra. I just really want them smaller.

You can consider areola reduction, however a lift is needed in order to address the ptosis.  With a lift and small implant you could get your breasts closer to your "before" photo.  It would also address the asymmetry.  There is a chance that the areola could restretch after the reduction.  I encourage you to meet with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to further discuss your concerns and learn more about your options.

You would do well with a breast lift to lift your breasts, make you more even, and reduce the areolae. Otherwise, your areolae may just stretch out again.
