You should be able to go back to your breathing within a few days after just an explant since not muscles were disturbed.

Deep breathing exercises are great from the start! They help to expand the lungs and prevent PE. Another great thing is early ambulation, meaning walk around a bit every few hours after surgery to keep good circulation.
